1965 Donruss DISNEYLAND
The 1965 Disneyland trading cards made their way to the markets in a joint effort between Disneyland and the card company, Donruss, in an effort to promote the 10th anniversary of Disneyland in California. The 1965 Disneyland trading cards seem to attract two different types of collectors; Disneyana as well as collectors of non-sports trading cards (obviously).
There are a total of 66 cards in this set, but they come with two variations: Bluebacks and Puzzlebacks. The Disneyland bluebacks feature a scene or attraction from Disneyland on the front of the card which is bordered white. The backs have a design with a blue border (hence the name bluebacks) and also include the cards number, title, copyright info, and a plug to, “Visit Disneyland in ’65 and are harder to find. The 1965 Disneyland puzzlebacks are slightly different in that the picture on the front is smaller, leaving space at the bottom of the card for the number, name, and the plug for visiting. The back is just what you might think you’d find; a puzzlepiece. These puzzlebacks make up a giant puzzle that had a bunch of animated Disney characters.

1956 Elvis Presley Trading Cards
Bubbles Inc (now Topps) released 1956 Elvis Presley trading cards, which would become incredibly popular.
The Elvis Presley set was one that was definitely made with the fans in mind.
The cards in this set were essential split into two, with the first 46 all devoted to the music career of the Elvis.
The front of each card had a color photo of Elvis, complete with a cool caption housed inside a red guitar.
Fans of The King loved the information on the back of the cards, as it was delivered in a way that made it appear as
though Elvis himself was involved. The little blurbs came in the form of a fan question that was answered as though
by Elvis himself. There really is no evidence that Elvis was ever posed or answered these questions.
